College Pro was planning its annual entrepreneur summit in a new city (New Orleans). Its team wanted to eliminate previous problems with shipping their event swag and awards internationally. Previously, their event swag and awards had not made it to their event destination in time. Another challenge was finding swag that their target audience (young entrepreneurs) would love. They also needed help finding swag to reflect the local flair of their host city. When the opportunity came up to work with a local New Orleans promotional products company that could solve those problems, they chose Think Logo. Over the next several months, Think Logo provided project management of College Pro’s event swag to ensure on time delivery. Think Logo also provided creative expertise to help select branded swag for the event’s target audience, as well as New Orleans themed products.

It is the most successful student painting company in North America. The company operates across the U.S. and Canada. Every year, College Pro recruits, selects and trains hundreds of young entrepreneurs to run their own businesses, deliver quality jobs and customer service, and uphold the promise of the College Pro brand.
The Entrepreneur Summit and President’s Awards is College Pro’s biggest event of the year. Headquartered in Canada, their Community Manager, Erin Scheel, was looking for a way to overcome some of the logistical hurdles of ordering event swag and shipping it to New Orleans. In the past, some of their products and awards had not made it to their U.S. event destination in time because of shipping issues and customs. The other challenge they faced was coming up with new swag ideas that would be popular with their event’s target audience, the millennial college student. They also needed some ideas for New Orleans themed products for College Pro’s own New Orleans Second Line Parade through the French Quarter.
Erin was contacted by Think Logo, which offers warehousing and event delivery of promotional products for New Orleans conventions. After learning about what Think Logo had to offer, she realized it would be a big advantage to use a local company to coordinate, warehouse and deliver the products right to their hotel. As a result, she chose Think Logo to be College Pro’s promotional products partner for the event. Over the next few months, Think Logo provided project management for College Pro’s event swag for their entrepreneur summit.
The first phase of the project included presentation of swag items and premium awards by Think Logo. Think Logo also presented on-point swag ideas for millennials centered on something they can’t live without – smartphones. (According to one study, 90% of millennials say that their smartphone never leaves their side!) Ultimately, College Pro selected branded power banks, smartphone wallets and selfie sticks. Think Logo also knew just the right items to suggest for the Second Line Parade down Bourbon Street: Mardi Gras beads and masks, plus custom printed stadium cups for “to go” drinks. Think Logo also presented premium award options for a new recognition award.
After College Pro made its product decision, Think Logo took over to ensure on-time production and of their swag products and premium awards. Most importantly, Think Logo ensured artwork and personalization of awards was correct. Additionally, Think Logo worked closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery during the busy holiday season.
When the College Pro team arrived in NOLA, Think Logo delivered all of the swag and awards directly to its hotel on New Year’s Day. According to Erin, their New Orleans summit was their “best event to date.” With over 200 young entrepreneurs attending the summit, the last thing Erin had to worry about was her event swag:
